Become a Member

OARC welcomes membership from all Residents’ Councils in long-term care homes across Ontario. Membership runs annually from April 1 to March 31.

Residents’ Council Membership Representative

To streamline OARC’s communications with the Residents’ Council please select a representative that may act as the main contact with OARC. Please notify us if these details change.
Annual Membership Fee:(Required)
Membership fees are set by OARC, approved by OARC’s Board of Directors and are based on the long-term care home’s number of licensed beds. OARC’s annual Membership cycle starts on April 1st and ends on March 31st. Please check the appropriate payment category.

Application for membership is subject to review and acceptance by OARC. Upon payment of the membership fee, a Residents’ Council will be admitted as a Residents’ Council Member of OARC. Residents’ Council Members are not entitled to receive notice of, attend, speak at, or vote at meetings of the Members of the Corporation, but may be invited by the Board to attend meetings of the Members. For more information and to obtain a copy of OARC’s Bylaws please contact Dee Tripp, Executive Director dtripp@ontarc.com 1-800-532-0201 x240. As per the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), any personal information collected by OARC is kept confidentially and is not distributed or shared with anyone outside of OARC unless permission has been granted.
