RESIDENTS’ COUNCIL ASSISTANT FORUMS

OARC hosts virtual Forums to bringing together Residents’ Council Assistants (RCA’s). RCA team members play an essential role in supporting Residents’ Council operations in Long-Term Care Homes across the province. Similar to our weekly Resident Forums, RCA Forums are a highly engaging experience, giving participating RCA’s an opportunity to share what’s working well in their homes and bring forward questions, challenges and areas requiring additional support.

Offered on the last Tuesday of every month at 1:30 PM ET, OARC Forums are 1-hour in length and are facilitated by Stephanie Ventura,  OARC’s Director of Education.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Forums are intended for Residents’ Council Assistant (RCA) participants only
  • RCA’s may join us using a computer, tablet device or smartphone using the Zoom app
  • RCA’s may also participate by phoning in on a telephone toll-free line and manually entering an access code and password combination
  • Forums provide a venue for peer-to-peer support and are not formal counseling or therapy
  • To ensure RCA privacy and confidentiality, sessions will not be recorded. We encourage RCA’s to participate in a quiet, private space wherever possible.
