Resident Forums: A Place for Connecting with Peers

OARC is pleased to offer weekly Resident Forums for residents to connect virtually for peer support and sharing. Forums provide an avenue for LTC residents from across Ontario to meet new friends, ask questions, share concerns and successes and to stay informed.

Offered every Thursday (alternating morning and afternoons), OARC Forums are 45-minutes in length and are facilitated by a resident peer/OARC Resident Leader.

Upcoming Forums:

  • Thursday, August 5th at 10:30am
  • Thursday, August 12th at 2pm
  • Thursday, August 19th at 10:30am
  • Thursday, August 26th at 2pm

  • Forums are intended for resident participants only
  • Residents may join us using a computer, tablet device or smartphone using the Zoom app
  • Residents may also participate by phoning in on a telephone toll-free line and manually entering an access code and password combination
  • Forums provide a venue for peer-to-peer support and are not formal counseling or therapy
  • To ensure resident privacy and confidentiality, sessions will not be recorded. We encourage residents to participate in a quiet, private space wherever possible.

We are extremely grateful for all team members/staff supports that help residents get connected to join us each week and for sharing this connection opportunity within your homes. Thank you.
